Hospital Rebrand Restores Trust
Ellenville Regional Hospital was a dramatically different place when it emerged from a prolonged financial crisis. ERH chose Ditto Design to create a new brand identity and visual design system to signal its turnaround.
We developed the tagline to direct the focus where it belongs – on the innovation, collaboration and award-winning care that contribute to its success.
The project brief included a request to explore design directions that incorporated elements from the old logo, the client felt had equity. Specifically, the rising sun symbolizes hope, and the swash and mountains represent the region the hospital serves in the Rondout Valley at the eastern base of the Catskill Mountains in Ulster County, New York.
Our discovery phase included interviews with 25 hospital employees from all levels.
The response was extraordinarily consistent and presented to leadership as a word cloud to guide branding and message development.
In our leadership training session "Living the Brand," we identified opportunities to create a memorable and positive experience.
